A Hollywood superstar.
A very small island.

A playable fan-mod proof of concept built on the original English EGA interactive demo of The Secret of Monkey Island, running in a modified ScummVM compiled to WebAssembly.

The Rock replaces Guybrush in the real engine: new directional walking and talking sprites, a new title screen, rewritten dialogue, actor names, and a protein tub with working inventory and puzzle interactions.

Finding the right amount of ridiculous

Earlier, more realistic vested sprite sheet
1. Too realistic and too much shirt.
Three shirtless wrestler-pirate costume variants
2. Wrestler meets wannabe pirate. The simple red sash reads best.
Selected cartoon design with a bigger head and muscles
3. Bigger head, raised eyebrow, giant muscles. The earlier direction; still too much illustrated shading.

Rebuilding it as pixel art

The first sprites were reduced illustrations. Four new coarse candidates led to a chunkier head and cleaner silhouette, then a calibrated pixel-grid reconstruction and one shared 15-colour palette. Every pose uses the same scale and foot anchor.

The playable sprite sheet

Sixteen final pixel sprites: four directions each for idle, two walk phases and talking

Sixteen frames, 48 × 52 pixels, 15 opaque colours plus transparency. The original engine still handles pathfinding, depth, scaling, rooms, dialogue choices, and puzzles.

Try this

Look at the protein tub or Dwayne Jr., your pet rock and emotionally unavailable stunt double. Try the Flex button. Walk left and talk to the troll. Insist that you're Hollywood superstar Dwayne The Rock Johnson. Later, visit the fortune teller and give the prisoner your mint-flavoured protein.

This is a playable proof of concept for the free demo, not a complete retail-game conversion. Some original writing remains. The original game and demo belong to their respective rights holders; this unofficial parody is not endorsed by Lucasfilm, Disney, ScummVM, or Dwayne Johnson. Celebrity status does not make a person's likeness or photos public domain.
